Description

Sergio is a table lamp built around one strong shape: a beige stoneware base formed as a full round disc, lifted on a flared foot and rising through a narrow neck into a tall cylindrical linen shade. It stands 55cm tall and 21cm across, and the shade alone is 24cm tall and 20.5cm across, so shade and base are close in width and the lamp reads as one tall, calm outline. The stoneware has a lightly textured surface, and at 1.2KG the lamp has a satisfying weight when you lift it into place.

At that height it suits a sideboard, a console table, a desk or a generous bedside table, in a living room, bedroom or hallway. Linen softens light as it passes through, so this is a lamp for a soft, gentle glow in the evening rather than a bright working light. The beige tone sits easily beside wood, rattan and stone, and the 160cm cable is clear, so it is far less noticeable running down the back of a cabinet than a dark lead would be. The switch sits on the cord, which means you can turn the lamp on and off without reaching up under the shade. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
