These are four stoneware mugs, each painted by hand and embossed with a raised pattern of rounded shapes that run in vertical bands around the body. The pink comes in deeper and lighter shades, and a band of deeper pink wraps the foot of each mug. Each one holds 235ml, a proper everyday mug size for a tea or a filter coffee, and measures 9cm across and 9.5cm tall, so it sits comfortably in two cupped hands.

As a set of four, they suit a small household or a couple who often welcome friends: one for each person at the breakfast table, all with the same pattern. They work for the first tea of the morning in the kitchen, a coffee at a desk while working from home, or a hot chocolate on the sofa in the evening.
