Description

Clear crystal glass rings the outside of this lamp, set against a polished chrome frame, with an opal white glass diffuser sitting behind it to soften the candle lamps. It is 30cm across, a size that fills a console table or a wide sideboard without swallowing it. The light works twice over: an even glow through the opal glass, and small bright points where that glow catches the cut crystal. An inline switch on the flex puts the control within easy reach.

This is a lamp for the rooms where you want a bit of sparkle at low level rather than overhead: a hallway console, a dressing table, a pair either side of a bed, a side table in a sitting room. We would fit LED candle lamps in it and keep them warm in tone, which suits the chrome and stops the crystal looking cold. Because it will dim with compatible LED candles and a suitable dimmer, it can be run bright for reading and taken right down for the end of the evening.

The chrome is polished to a bright mirror finish and the crystal is clear cut glass, so both show fingermarks readily; a dry lint-free cloth over the crystal and a barely damp one on the metal keeps it looking right, with everything unplugged and cool before you start. Each socket takes up to 10W, which is ample in LED. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same table lamp in antique brass, and the range carries on into wall lights and flush ceiling lights in both finishes if you want the crystal to run through a room. Lamps are not included.

What lamps does it take?

Two E14 candle lamps, up to 10W each. LED candle lamps in the C35 shape are the ones we would choose, and they are not supplied with the lamp.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, provided you use dimmable LED candle lamps together with a compatible dimmer. Neither the lamps nor a dimmer are included.

What are the dimensions?

Is the crystal clear or tinted?

How should I clean the crystal?

Unplug it and let the lamps cool, then dust the crystal with a dry lint-free cloth. Fingermarks on the chrome come off with a slightly damp cloth and a dry buff afterwards. Avoid sprays and abrasive cleaners.
