Sangamo Powersaver Plus Boost Controller - Silver

The Sangamo Powersaver Plus is a boost controller offering three timed override periods — 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours — activated by a single push-button switch on the faceplate. Three LEDs on the upper panel indicate which boost period is active, with the green LED illuminated in the image showing the 1-hour setting selected. The controller provides manual override for heating, hot water or ventilation systems that normally run on a programmable timer.

Designed for residential installation where occupants need temporary control over timed systems without reprogramming the main timer, the Powersaver Plus suits immersion heaters, underfloor heating zones, bathroom extractor fans and circulation pumps. The 16A switch rating at 240V AC handles loads up to 3,840W, covering typical domestic hot water and heating circuits. The controller can be surface-mounted using the included single-gang back box or flush-mounted into a standard UK 25mm back box.

The silver faceplate measures 90mm wide by 92mm tall with a 62mm depth when surface-mounted, fitting into hallway, bathroom and utility room installations without taking up significant wall space. The push-button cycles through the three boost periods on each press, returning to off after the selected time elapses. The LED indicators remain visible in low light, making it straightforward to confirm which boost period is active without guesswork.

What loads can the controller handle?

The 16A rating at 240V AC supports loads up to 3,840W, which covers most domestic immersion heaters, underfloor heating zones, bathroom extractor fans and circulation pumps. Check the connected appliance rating before installation.

How does the boost function work?

Press the button to cycle through three timed boost periods: 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours. The corresponding LED illuminates to show which period is active. The system returns to normal timer control when the boost period elapses.

Can it be flush-mounted?

Yes. The controller fits a standard UK single-gang 25mm back box for flush mounting, or can be surface-mounted using the included back box.

Is the controller wired in series with the existing timer?
