Description

This is a big, rounded stoneware mug that holds 500ml, finished in a speckled blue reactive glaze. Its body swells out like a ball and draws in a little at the rim, so it is easy to cup in both hands, and a generous loop handle gives a firm grip when it is full. The glaze is the reason to choose it: a fine speckle runs across the blue, deepening to a darker band around the rim, with a gentle sheen where the light catches it. The mug measures 10.5cm across and 9.5cm tall, and it weighs 0.346KG.

At 500ml this is a mug for one long drink rather than a quick cup: a large tea, a milky coffee or a hot chocolate on a cold evening.
