Description

Our Samsin mug is a small stoneware mug in blue, holding 150ml and standing 10cm tall and 8cm across. Its whole body is embossed: raised flowers and curling stems run around the middle, framed by bands of upright ribs at the rim and at the base, so the surface has real texture under your fingers. The blue reads deeper in the recessed parts of the pattern, which picks out every petal, and the finish is glossy. A single rounded loop handle completes the shape.

At 150ml it is smaller than most mugs, sized for a cortado, an espresso or a quick cup of tea rather than a big morning brew. That makes it a good fit for a breakfast table, a kitchen shelf of everyday cups or an afternoon cup at the desk. Because the pattern runs all the way round, it looks just as good hanging from a hook or standing on open shelving as it does in the hand, and a few together make a cheerful line along a dresser.
