Description
This is a two-door iron cabinet in beige, with an oval panel of ribbed glass set into each door. It measures 80cm long, 40cm wide and 90cm tall, which puts it at sideboard height: tall enough to hold a lamp, a vase or a few framed prints on top, low enough to sit under a picture or a window. By material it is 96% iron and 4% glass, so the frame and doors do the structural work and the glass is kept to those two oval windows. At 22.5KG it is a solid, settled piece rather than something you shift around on a whim.
Inside, two shelves and the base give three levels behind the doors. The ribbed glass softens the view of whatever sits on them, so books, boxed games, folded throws or a row of ceramics read as shape and colour rather than clutter. We like it in a living room, against the wall beside the sofa, where the top becomes a display shelf for flowers, small vases and leaning prints. At 40cm wide it keeps a slim footprint, so it suits a narrower room or an alcove as well as an open wall.
The iron is powder coated, a finish baked onto the metal that gives an even, hard-wearing surface. The cabinet stands on four slim legs that lift it clear of the floor, so sweeping underneath is easy. Two small round knobs open the doors, each hung on its own hinges. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth. It needs putting together, and the maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. For styling, the beige makes a quiet base for strong colour: lean a bright print or two on top and let a tall stem of flowers break the line of the top edge.

Frequently Asked
What is the cabinet made of?
It is 96% iron and 4% glass. The body, doors and legs are powder-coated iron, and each of the two doors has an oval panel of ribbed glass.
How big is the cabinet?
It is 80cm long, 40cm wide and 90cm tall, and it weighs 22.5KG, so it is a substantial piece at a comfortable sideboard height.
How many shelves are inside?
There are two shelves inside. With the base, that gives three levels behind the ribbed glass doors for books, throws or ceramics.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it clean with a moist cloth. That is all the care the maker gives for the powder-coated iron and the ribbed glass panels.
Does it need assembling?
Yes. It needs putting together, and the maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download, so you can read through the steps in advance.
What is included?
You receive one cabinet with its two ribbed glass doors and its shelves. The styling props shown are not included.
