This beige bookcase is made entirely of mango wood, and its character comes from the slats. Rows of upright slats form the back, and at each end they curve round into rounded sides, so the open front sits between two softly bowed ends. Inside there are three open shelf levels, and a rail runs along the back and round the ends above the top shelf. It measures 153cm long, 45cm wide and 105cm tall and weighs 33.7KG, so this is a substantial piece of furniture rather than a lightweight stand.

At 105cm tall it stands well below a floor-to-ceiling bookcase, so the top shelf doubles as a display surface for vases, a table lamp or a few framed prints, while the lower shelves take books, magazines and baskets. The 45cm width leaves room for large art books and storage baskets. Its 153cm length suits a living room wall or the space beneath a wide window, and it works in a dining room as a long, low display piece.
