Description
This is the mini size of the Rustic pillar candle, 8cm tall and 7cm across, in a deep dark cherry. The wax is poured into a mould rather than dipped or rolled, and the surface is left as it comes out: slightly pitted and uneven down the sides, with the colour running deeper in some places than others. A single wick stands at the top.
At 8cm this is the smallest of the Rustic pillars, against 15cm and 18cm for the two larger sizes. It sits in a small holder, or in a group of several at different heights on a side table, a windowsill or a mantelpiece. Dark cherry is made in both the larger sizes as well, so the three stand together as a run of heights in one colour.
The wax is a blend of soy and paraffin. The candles are made in small batches in India and poured by hand into moulds, which is what gives them their uneven surface. The mini size is also made in olive, rust, charcoal, white and sage green. A holder is not included.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
8cm tall and 7cm across.
What is the wax?
A blend of soy and paraffin, hand poured in small batches.
How long should I burn it for at a time?
No more than four hours. On the first burn, allow roughly one hour for each inch of diameter so the melt pool reaches the edge and leaves a firm outer shell, which is what stops the candle tunnelling.
Should I trim the wick?
Yes, to 0.6cm. The right wick length gives an even burn and builds up less soot.
What other colours are there?
The mini size is also made in olive, rust, charcoal, white and sage green.
What should I stand it on?
Something non-porous and heat resistant that will catch the wax, because the candle may drip. Keep it away from anything flammable and free of matches and soot, burn it within sight, never move it while it is lit or before the wax has hardened, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
