Description
A pillar candle in charcoal, 8cm tall and 7cm across, poured by hand from a blend of soy and paraffin wax. The wax is pitted and uneven across the surface rather than smooth, and the tone shifts between a mid grey and something closer to slate in the hollows. The top is flat, with a single wick at the centre.
At 8cm tall and 7cm across this is the smallest of the pillars. It goes on a side table, a windowsill or into a seasonal display, and it fits the more compact holders that a taller pillar would overhang. Several can be grouped and layered at different heights.
The wax is a blend of soy and paraffin. Each candle is poured by hand into a mould, in small batches, which is where the uneven surface comes from. The mini is made in six colours: charcoal, white, olive, rust, dark cherry and sage green. In charcoal the same candle is also made as a 15 x 8cm small and an 18 x 10cm large, and there are charcoal dinner candles to go with it. No holder is included.

Frequently Asked
How long should I burn it for?
No more than four hours at a time. On the first burn, give it about an hour for every inch across so the melt pool reaches the edge, which is what stops it tunnelling on later burns.
Should I trim the wick?
Yes, to 0.6cm. A wick at the right length burns evenly and throws less soot.
What is the wax?
A blend of soy and paraffin, poured by hand in small batches.
What colours is the mini made in?
Six: charcoal, white, olive, rust, dark cherry and sage green.
Is it safe to leave burning?
Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it in sight, and do not move it while it is lit or until the wax has hardened. Stand it on a heat-resistant, non-porous surface, since it can drip, and keep it clear of anything that will catch.
