Description

Three serving pieces in iron under an antique brass finish: a spoon with a wide shallow bowl, a flat spreading knife with a long leaf-shaped blade, and a fork with two prongs. Each has a tapering handle worked in narrow lengthwise facets, and the surface is mottled and unevenly toned rather than polished flat, so the brass reads warm gold in one light and almost dull in another. The three together measure 25 by 16cm and are 0.5cm thick.

The set serves rather than eats: the knife spreads a soft cheese, the fork lifts a hard one, and the spoon takes a chutney or a pickle out of a jar. That puts it on a cheese board, a charcuterie plate or a table of shared dishes. All three together weigh 0.18kg, so they lie on a board rather than weighing it down.
