Description

The Knightsbridge RJ45 network outlet provides a single CAT5e ethernet connection behind an antique brass screwless faceplate. The outlet uses IDC (insulation displacement) terminals for tool-free cable termination, with a shuttered port that closes when not in use to prevent dust ingress. The faceplate measures 87.5mm square and projects 4.3mm from the wall once installed.

Designed for residential and light commercial wired network installations, the outlet fits standard 35mm minimum back boxes and works with CAT5e or CAT6 cable runs up to 100m in length. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, hiding all fixings behind the faceplate. A write-on designation label sits behind the transparent window above the RJ45 port, allowing room or device names to be marked for easy identification in multi-port installations.

The antique brass finish on 201 stainless steel gives a warm, aged metallic tone that suits traditional and period interiors where modern network connectivity is needed without chrome or white plastic plates. The built-in gasket on the rear of the faceplate helps reduce dust and air leakage around the outlet aperture. The outlet carries IP20 rating for indoor dry-location use and is certified to BS 5733 for telecommunications installations.
