Description

The Rizal is a complete bedside lamp: a cylinder of clear fluted glass standing on a brushed brass drum. The flutes run the full height of the glass and draw together at the bottom, the cylinder has rounded shoulders, and it is open at the top. Small bubbles sit in the glass. It is 25cm tall and 18cm across, and a rust coloured cord runs from the base with a switch on it.

The glass is the shade, so there is nothing to add to it. At 25cm tall and 18cm across it goes on a bedside chest, a side table in a hall or a mantelpiece. Open at the top, it throws light upward as well as out through the flutes. It takes one E27 bulb up to 7W, the cord runs 2.5m and the plug is UK and EU.

The base is iron under a brass finish. The glass is hand blown in Firozabad into a hand carved mould, which is what forms the ribs, and it is made entirely from recycled material.

Frequently Asked

Does it need a shade?

No. The fluted glass is the shade.

One E27, up to 7W.

Is the glass clear?

Yes. It is clear and ribbed from top to bottom, with small bubbles through it, and it is open at the top.

What is the glass made from?

Recycled glass, hand blown in Firozabad into a hand carved mould. The mould is what forms the ribs.
