Description
Raheem is a stoneware vase 34cm tall and 11cm across, with a body that looks as though it has been gently twisted out of line. It rises from a wide, flared foot, narrows through a slender waist and opens again at a flared rim. Along the way the profile steps out twice, once on each side at different heights, so the outline is never quite symmetrical. Over the whole surface runs a pattern of fine ridges in sweeping rings, broken in places by rows of small dimples, and the grey reads lighter on the raised lines and deeper in the hollows.
At 34cm it is tall enough to hold its own on a sideboard, a hallway console or a deep bookshelf. Its narrow build suits a few long stems rather than a full bouquet: dried grasses, pampas or a single branch give it height and leave the pattern on the body in view. It also works empty, as a sculptural piece in its own right, which is how we would use it on a bedroom chest of drawers or a desk. The grey sits easily with pale oak, rattan, linen and stone, and suits a calm, neutral scheme as well as a room with more colour in it.
The vase is made entirely of stoneware, a dense ceramic fired at high temperature and known for being hard-wearing. It weighs 0.672KG, enough to feel substantial in the hand without being a burden to move from room to room. The ridges and dimples give the surface a tactile, almost carved quality, so it invites a closer look and a touch. For the best effect, stand it where light falls across it from the side, near a window or a lamp, so the ridges throw fine shadows. If you group it, pair it with one lower, plainer vessel so its offset outline stays the focus.

Frequently Asked
What is the Raheem vase made of?
It is made entirely of stoneware, a dense, hard-fired ceramic, and its whole surface carries a ridged, dimpled texture in grey.
How big is the vase?
It stands 34cm tall and measures 11cm across, a tall, slim size that suits a few long stems or display on its own.
How heavy is it?
It weighs 0.672KG, so it feels solid in the hand yet is easy to lift and move between rooms.
Can I use it for dried flowers?
Yes. Its tall, narrow shape suits dried grasses, pampas or a single branch, and it looks just as good standing empty as a decorative piece.
Is the grey even all over?
No. The grey reads lighter on the raised ridges and deeper in the hollows between them, which brings out the pattern of rings and dimples.
Where would it look best?
On a sideboard, hallway console, mantelpiece or deep shelf, ideally where light falls across it from the side so the ridges throw fine shadows.
