Description

This is a pair of gold Christmas tree decorations made of iron, each one a stack of three tiers topped with a five-pointed star. The surface is heavily textured, a rough, crusted finish that catches the light from every angle, so the trees sparkle as you walk past them. The two are made in different heights: the smaller stands 21cm tall, 9.5cm long and 8cm wide, and the larger stands 27cm tall, 13cm long and 8cm wide. That difference is what makes them work as a pair, giving a little rise and fall when they stand side by side.

At these sizes they belong on a surface near eye level: a mantelpiece, a windowsill, a sideboard or a hall table, where the texture can be seen up close.
