Description
The QTX Tri-PAR is a battery-powered RGBW par uplighter housing three 4W LEDs in a compact 155 x 125 x 125mm metal enclosure. A 5600mA lithium-ion battery runs the unit for up to six hours on a full charge, removing the need for mains cabling during events, installations or temporary venue setups. Each LED combines red, green, blue and white diodes for colour mixing across the full spectrum, with a 25° beam angle throwing saturated colour onto walls, backdrops or architectural features.
Designed for mobile DJs, event crews, hospitality venues and temporary installations where mains power access is limited or impractical, the Tri-PAR can be placed on floors, shelves or stages without running cables. The metal housing is shaped to fit triangular trussing, allowing the unit to be mounted overhead or clipped onto existing stage framework. Control options include the onboard four-button panel with LED display, an IR remote (CR2025 battery supplied), or DMX in 4-, 6- or 8-channel modes via the rear-panel 3-pin XLR connectors.
The unit weighs 860g, light enough to be carried as part of a portable rig but heavy enough to stay stable on uneven surfaces. The internal lithium-ion battery recharges via an IEC mains input, and the onboard display shows battery level and menu settings. In master/slave mode, multiple Tri-PAR units can be linked via DMX to run synchronised colour changes without a controller. The auto and sound-activated modes trigger preprogrammed colour sequences or respond to music peaks, useful for quick setups without programming.

Frequently Asked
How long does the battery last?
The 5600mA lithium-ion battery provides up to six hours of runtime on a full charge, though actual duration varies depending on brightness levels and colour settings. Higher intensity and white output drain the battery faster than lower intensity colour washes.
Can multiple units be linked together?
Yes. Multiple Tri-PAR units can be linked via DMX in master/slave mode to run synchronised colour changes without a separate controller. The rear panel has both DMX input and output on 3-pin XLR connectors.
What control options are available?
The Tri-PAR can be controlled via the onboard four-button panel and LED display, an IR remote (included with CR2025 battery), or DMX in 4-, 6- or 8-channel modes. Auto and sound-activated modes run preprogrammed sequences without external control.
Is the housing suitable for outdoor use?
The metal housing has no IP rating stated in the specification, so the Tri-PAR is intended for dry indoor or covered outdoor use only. It should not be exposed to rain or moisture.
