QTX 4x50W High Power LED Wash Light - 200W White COB

The QTX 4x50W is a 200W LED wash light built around four 50W white COB (chip-on-board) LEDs housed in a powder-coated metal body measuring 270 x 270 x 140mm. Each LED delivers a 40° beam angle, creating an overlapping wash of white light suitable for stage washes, event uplighting and architectural lighting. The fixture runs on 110-240Vac mains power via an IEC inlet and draws 200W at full output.

Designed for touring rigs, performance venues, theatres and live events, the QTX wash light offers 8-channel DMX control for integration into lighting desks and standalone master-slave operation for simpler setups. Linear dimming allows smooth fade transitions from blackout to full intensity without stepping or flicker. The all-metal housing withstands the handling and transport associated with mobile production work, and the internal fan keeps the COB LEDs within safe operating temperatures during extended use.

The 40° beam angle sits between a narrow spot and a wide flood, making the fixture adaptable to cyclorama washes, backdrop lighting, stage fills and wall washing depending on throw distance. At 3.1kg the unit can be floor-mounted on the included kick stand or rigged from lighting bars using standard clamps (sold separately). The white LED output is consistent across all four cells when powered via DMX, avoiding the colour variation sometimes seen in cheaper multi-LED fixtures.

What DMX channels does it use?

Can it be used without a DMX controller?

Yes. The QTX supports master-slave operation, allowing multiple units to be daisy-chained and controlled from a single master unit. It also has sound-to-light and auto-run modes for standalone use without a DMX desk.

What throw distance is needed for even coverage?

With a 40° beam angle, positioning the fixture 2-3 metres from the target surface provides approximately 1.5-2 metres of wash coverage per unit. For larger cycloramas or backdrops, multiple units are typically spaced 1.5-2 metres apart to create continuous coverage.

Is it suitable for permanent installation or mainly touring?

The metal housing and fan cooling make it suitable for both permanent installation and touring use. The 3.1kg weight and compact 270mm square footprint allow it to be rigged overhead or floor-mounted depending on the venue setup.
