Description

The QTX 24x3W is a 1020mm LED wall wash bar housing 24 tri-colour COB LEDs arranged in 8 independently controllable segments of 3 LEDs each. Each LED combines red, green and blue emitters to produce the full RGB colour spectrum, allowing the bar to display static colours, graduated fades, chases and strobing patterns across walls, ceilings or floors.

Designed for stage, entertainment venue, retail display and architectural lighting, the bar operates in manual mode with preset colour sequences, sound-activated mode where the chase responds to music or ambient noise, or DMX mode with 5, 8, 14, 26 or 50 channel configurations. The 8-segment architecture allows for pattern chases and waves where colour transitions move sequentially across the bar rather than flashing all LEDs simultaneously. The 45° beam angle provides wide wash coverage suitable for walls up to 5m wide when mounted 2-3m away.

The bar draws 80W at full output across all 24 LEDs and runs on 110-240Vac mains via an IEC inlet, making it compatible with UK, European and international power. The housing measures 1020 x 65 x 65mm and weighs 1.8kg, with end-mounted adjustable brackets for wall, ceiling or truss installation. The brackets allow tilt adjustment to direct the wash upwards onto ceilings, straight ahead onto walls, or downwards onto floors and stages.

What DMX channel mode should I use?

The choice depends on your controller and the level of control needed. 5-channel mode gives basic RGB colour mixing. 8-channel adds dimming and strobe. 14-channel allows per-segment colour control for 2 groups. 26 and 50-channel modes provide full individual control of all 8 segments for complex chase programming.

Can it be used without a DMX controller?

Yes. The bar has built-in auto mode with preset colour sequences, sound-activated mode that responds to music, and manual mode where you can set a static colour using the onboard controls. DMX is optional for more precise programming.

What's the coverage area at typical mounting distance?

The 45° beam angle covers approximately 2m width when mounted 2m from the wall, scaling up to 5m width at 5m distance. For even wash across a large wall, mount 2-3m away and aim the bar centrally using the adjustable brackets.

Can multiple units be linked together?

Yes. The bar supports master/slave mode where one unit runs the sequence and additional units follow via DMX daisy-chain. This allows synchronised patterns across multiple bars without needing a separate DMX controller.
