Description
The QTX 18x1.5W RGB LED Par Can is a compact wash light housing 18 three-in-one RGB LEDs behind a 200mm diameter face, delivering 1700 lux at 2 metres through a 25° beam angle. The unit runs on mains 100-240Vac at 35W total consumption and supports DMX control over 7 channels, sound-to-light activation, and built-in automatic colour programmes.
Designed for mobile DJs, small venue installations, event hire and home use where coloured wash lighting is needed without fixed rigging, the par can sits on a floor stand or mounts onto standard lighting bars via the bracket apertures. The 25° beam suits short-throw applications where the light needs to cover a stage backdrop, dancefloor perimeter or feature wall from 2-10 metres distance. The sound-to-light mode triggers colour changes and strobes in response to bass frequencies, making it suitable for music-synced effects without a DMX controller.
The master/slave function allows multiple units to be linked by 3-pin XLR, with the master unit running programmes that slave units mirror. Four slave modes give options for coordinated or offset patterns across linked fixtures. The included IR remote switches between DMX, auto and sound modes, adjusts speed, and triggers strobes without needing to access the rear panel during operation. The compact 200 x 200 x 78mm housing weighs 1.17kg, light enough to transport in multiples but stable enough on a floor stand not to tip under cable pull.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used without a DMX controller?
Yes. The unit has built-in auto programmes that cycle through colours, plus a sound-to-light mode that responds to music. The IR remote switches between these modes and adjusts speed without needing DMX.
How many units can be linked in master/slave mode?
Multiple units can be daisy-chained via 3-pin XLR cables. The master unit runs the programme and all slave units mirror it. There is no specified upper limit, but power draw and cable runs are practical constraints.
What beam angle does it have?
The beam angle is 25°, which suits short-throw applications where the light needs to cover a stage backdrop, wall or dancefloor from 2-10 metres away. For wider coverage, position multiple units or use a wider-beam par can.
Does it get hot during extended use?
LEDs run cooler than halogen par cans, but the housing will warm during continuous operation at full brightness. Ensure the rear vents are not obstructed and avoid placing the unit in enclosed spaces without airflow.
