Description

The QTX PAR-T Bar is a standalone RGB LED par light bar with two rotating magic ball effects and 14x1W RGB LEDs mounted in a single black housing. The bar ships with a height-adjustable tripod stand and a remote control, giving a complete portable lighting setup for home parties, mobile DJs and small event spaces without needing additional mounting hardware.

The 14 RGB LEDs produce colour-changing washes across walls and ceilings, while the two 3x3W RGB magic ball effects project rotating patterns similar to a traditional mirror ball. The bar offers two operating modes: auto mode cycles through preprogrammed colour sequences, and sound-activated mode syncs the light changes and rotation speed to music via a built-in microphone. Both modes can be selected from the control panel on the bar itself or via the supplied IR remote.

The tripod stand adjusts from 710mm to 1680mm height, allowing the bar to be positioned above head height in typical domestic rooms or at stage-rear height in small function rooms. The bar weighs 1.6kg and the tripod folds to 510mm length for transport. The 2m mains lead connects to AC110-240V 50/60Hz supply, so the unit is compatible with UK mains without external transformers. Total power consumption is 60W at full output.

What's the difference between auto and sound-activated mode?

Auto mode cycles through preprogrammed colour sequences at a fixed speed. Sound-activated mode uses a built-in microphone to sync the light changes and magic ball rotation to music or ambient sound in the room. Both modes can be selected from the control panel or the remote.

What height does the tripod adjust to?

The tripod adjusts from 710mm to 1680mm. At maximum height the bar sits above head height in typical domestic rooms, which prevents direct eye contact with the LEDs and magic balls during operation.

Is the remote control battery included?

Yes. The remote uses a CR2025 coin cell battery, which is supplied with the kit.

Can the bar be mounted without the tripod?

Yes. The bar has a standard mounting bracket on the rear that accepts a light clamp or truss mount (sold separately). The tripod is included for convenience but is not the only mounting option.
