Description

The Prospect Park is a 642mm diameter 5-light chandelier built around curved satin nickel arms that radiate from a central polished chrome column. Each arm supports a cylindrical opal etched glass shade banded at top and bottom with polished chrome trim, and a small clear pressed crystal accent sits at each arm junction. The five E27 sockets take standard bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the chandelier sits on an adjustable chain that allows drop heights from 756mm to 2089mm, measured from ceiling to base of the fitting. The chain conceals the cable run and the polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses. The 642mm width suits dining tables of 1.6-2m length or entrance halls of 2.5-3.5m square.

The mix of satin and polished finishes gives the fitting visual depth under both daylight and artificial light — the satin nickel arms absorb and soften reflections while the polished chrome trim and column provide sharper highlights. The opal etched glass diffuses light evenly without glare, making the chandelier suitable for positions where the fitting is viewed from below. The chandelier takes five E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living areas.

What ceiling height is required?

The 756mm minimum drop plus the 521mm fitting height means the chandelier needs at least 1.28m clearance from ceiling to the lowest point. For dining table installation, position the base of the fitting 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The chain is adjustable on installation only. Once the chain length is set and the excess removed during fitting, the drop height is fixed unless the chandelier is taken down and re-fitted with additional chain length.

How is the opal glass cleaned?

The etched glass shades can be removed from the arms for cleaning. Wash gently in warm soapy water, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads which can scratch the etched finish.
