Description

The Knightsbridge POTHBRC is a wireless infrared remote control designed to programme the POTHBMS high bay microwave sensor without accessing the luminaire. The remote allows adjustment of brightness output, hold time, standby dim level, standby time, motion sensitivity and daylight threshold from ground level, removing the need for ladders or scissor lifts to adjust sensor behaviour after installation.

Designed for warehouses, industrial units and commercial spaces with ceiling heights above 4m where the POTHBMS sensor is fitted, the remote transmits infrared commands to the sensor from distances up to 10m. Six parameter groups can be adjusted: brightness (70%, 80%, 90%, 100%), hold time after last motion detected (10s, 1m, 10m, 30m), standby dim level when no motion is detected (10%, 20%, 30%, 50%), standby time before entering standby mode (∞, 1m, 30m, 60m), motion sensitivity (20%, 50%, 75%, 100%), and daylight threshold at which the sensor stops triggering lights (10 lux, 30 lux, 50 lux, 100 lux).

The polycarbonate housing measures 140mm tall by 50mm wide with an 18mm profile, and the buttons use tactile dome switches with printed icons for each function. The remote includes ON/OFF, SEND (to transmit settings to the sensor), RESET (to restore factory defaults), and TEST (to check sensor response) controls. A five-year warranty covers the remote and its electronic components.

What sensors is this remote compatible with?

This remote is designed specifically for the Knightsbridge POTHBMS high bay microwave sensor. It will not control other sensor models or brands.

What range does the remote have?

The infrared transmitter works at distances up to 10m from the sensor, allowing programming from ground level in most warehouse and industrial installations. Direct line of sight between the remote and the sensor's infrared receiver is required.

Can multiple sensors be programmed at once?

Yes. If multiple POTHBMS sensors are within infrared range when you press SEND, they will all receive the same settings. This allows you to programme an entire bay area simultaneously without adjusting each sensor individually.

What happens if I press RESET?

The RESET button restores the sensor to Knightsbridge factory default settings (typically 100% brightness, 10-minute hold time, and other standard parameters). Use this when troubleshooting or when taking over a site where previous settings are unknown.
