Description
The PowerMaster 5ft LED batten houses an integrated 23W LED producing 2800 lumens of 4000K cool white light, sealed behind a polycarbonate diffuser and stainless steel mounting clips in an IP65-rated weatherproof housing. The 120-degree beam angle distributes light evenly across a 5m-wide area from a 3m mounting height, making it suitable for garages, workshops, warehouses and outdoor covered areas where broad functional illumination is required.
Designed for ceiling or wall mounting in exposed environments, the IP65 rating protects the internal LED and driver against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, allowing installation in unheated outbuildings, carports, loading bays and similar semi-outdoor locations. The stainless steel clips resist corrosion in damp environments and the polycarbonate diffuser withstands impact better than acrylic or glass alternatives. The batten connects directly to 230V mains via the rear cable entry gland and can be surface-mounted or suspended using the integrated mounting brackets.
The non-corrosive frame (NCF) construction uses corrosion-resistant materials throughout the housing, extending service life in coastal, agricultural and industrial settings where humidity and airborne contaminants accelerate metal degradation. The flicker-free driver maintains stable light output without the visible flicker that occurs with cheaper LED drivers under mains voltage fluctuation, reducing eye strain during extended use in work environments. At 120 lumens per watt, the batten provides task-level illumination while drawing less power than equivalent fluorescent tube battens.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor covered areas such as carports, loading bays, external walkways under canopies, and unheated outbuildings. It should not be used in fully exposed positions with no overhead cover or in direct contact with standing water.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated into the batten and cannot be replaced separately. When the LED reaches end of life (typically 25,000-30,000 hours of use), the entire batten unit is replaced.
What does NCF mean?
NCF stands for Non-Corrosive Frame. The housing uses corrosion-resistant materials throughout rather than painted steel, which extends service life in environments with high humidity, salt air, or corrosive airborne contaminants such as agricultural or industrial settings.
How is it mounted?
The batten has integrated mounting brackets on the rear that allow it to be screwed directly to a ceiling or wall surface. It can also be suspended using the same brackets if chain or cable suspension is preferred. The rear cable entry gland accepts standard UK mains cable.
