Description

This is a pillar candle in white with an LED flame, 7.5cm across and 15cm tall, a slim size that fits a narrow shelf, a window sill or a small holder. The outer finish is paraffin, a wax long used for traditional candles, so it has the soft, smooth surface of a real candle rather than the shine of plastic. At the top, a shallow hollow holds a slim, flame-shaped tip that rises from the centre, just as a wick sits in a candle that has burned for an evening or two.

It runs on two AA batteries, so it can stand wherever it looks right, with no plug or cable to hide. Set it on a mantelpiece, a window sill, a bookshelf or the centre of a dining table, or give a bedroom or hallway the look of candlelight in the evening. The timer turns it off automatically after 8 hours, so you can switch it on as the light fades and leave it to look after itself.
