Description

The Persley Floor Lamp is a tall, slim black floor lamp. A steel pole rises from a round steel base and is topped by a tapered shade of black paper with a woven look. It stands 155.5cm tall and is 22cm in diameter, on a base 23cm across, so it asks for very little floor space for its height. It takes an E27 bulb, which is not included, and carries an IP20 rating, which settles where it lives: indoors, in a dry room.

Because it needs so little room, it fits neatly into the corner beside a sofa, next to a reading chair or at the side of a bed, where a table lamp would crowd the surface. The black finish on both the body and the shade sits easily in a modern scheme, and the woven paper shade brings a welcome touch of texture to a living room, bedroom or study. It pairs well with natural materials such as linen, rattan and pale wood. We think it suits anyone who wants a light at standing height without giving up space on a shelf or a side table.
