Description

This is a felted wool Christmas decoration in the shape of a hot air balloon, with a little mouse riding in the basket beneath it. The balloon is made in striped panels with a band of small round discs around its base, and fine cords run down to a rounded basket where the mouse sits with its paws over the rim, its big round ears standing out either side of a stitched nose and smile. It is made of 100% wool with a polyester filling, it is multicoloured, and it measures 7cm across and 15cm tall, a good size for a branch at the front of the tree.

It is made to hang. A loop of cord rises from the top of the balloon, so it slips straight over a branch of the Christmas tree, and at 0.01KG it is light enough for the slender tips, where a heavier bauble might make the branch dip. Away from the tree, it suits a bare twig arrangement on a mantelpiece or sideboard, a door handle, the ribbon of a wreath or a window latch.
