Description

This Christmas candle holder is built around a faceted star, with four little mouse angels gathered at its feet. A single candle cup sits at the top of an upright stem that rises through the star, and the mice stand in pairs on either side along a long, narrow base. Every mouse has wings: one wears a crown of candles, one carries a small candle, one plays a horn and one a harp, and the other three wear halos. It is made from polyresin and iron in a multi-coloured, hand-painted finish, measures 23.5cm long, 6cm wide and 23.5cm tall, and weighs 0.59KG.

At only 6cm wide, it sits comfortably on a mantelpiece, a windowsill or a narrow shelf where deeper decorations would crowd the space. Because it is as tall as it is long, it holds its own from across the room, and the lit candle at the top becomes the natural focus of the scene.
