Description

The Paulson is a single-light bathroom wall light with a ribbed glass tube shade suspended within a polished chrome rectangular frame. The shade is built from individual clear glass rods that run vertically and refract the light from the included 3W G9 LED bulb at 3000K, diffusing the output into soft ambient wash rather than a direct spotlight.

Rated IP44, the Paulson is certified for use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, meaning it can be fitted outside the immediate shower enclosure or above a sink where occasional water splashing occurs. The 121mm width and 381mm height suit installation either side of a bathroom mirror, as a single accent above a vanity, or in a hallway where moisture levels are slightly elevated. The 133mm projection from the wall leaves clearance for wall-mounted taps and cabinets.

The polished chrome finish on the metal frame provides a bright, reflective surface that pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and shower fittings common in bathroom installations. The glass tube itself weighs the visual presence of the fitting, preventing it from disappearing against white tiles while remaining compact enough for smaller bathrooms and en-suites. What bathroom zones is the Paulson rated for?

The IP44 rating certifies the Paulson for bathroom zones 2 and 3. This means it can be installed outside the immediate shower enclosure or bath area, typically 60cm or more away from the water source. It is not rated for zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower cubicle) or zone 0 (inside the shower itself).

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The fitting includes a 3W G9 LED bulb at 3000K, providing warm white light out of the box. The bulb is integrated into the fitting and does not need to be purchased separately.

Can it be used in pairs either side of a mirror?

Yes. The 121mm width and vertical orientation suit symmetrical installation either side of a bathroom mirror. When used in pairs, position them approximately 600-800mm apart (centre to centre) depending on the mirror width to provide balanced illumination across the face.

Is the glass shade easy to clean?

The ribbed glass construction means dust and water spots can collect between the individual rods. Wipe gently with a damp microfibre cloth, working vertically along the rods rather than across them. Avoid chemical cleaners that can leave residue in the gaps between the glass elements.
