Description

These are four stoneware cups, each holding 275ml, a generous size for a morning coffee or a proper cup of tea. Each one is 9cm across and 8cm tall, with a rounded, almost globe-like body that fills two cupped hands and a neat loop handle. A reactive glaze runs in soft bands of grey around the body, and the stripes have the feathered, uneven edges that this kind of glaze gives in the kiln, so they look loose and painterly rather than printed.

With four in the set, they suit a couple or a small household, or a kitchen where visitors are always offered a hot drink.
