Description

A ceramic teapot holding 1500ml, 24cm from the spout to the handle, 14.5cm front to back and 12cm tall, with a lift-off lid seated in a recessed well and finished with a turned knob. The clay surface is painted by hand, brushstroke by brushstroke, in the cream and clay tones the Patthar range is worked in. The glaze varies from pot to pot, which is what comes of painting each one on its own.

At 1500ml it pours for up to four people, so it is a pot for a table rather than for a single cup. It is 24cm from spout to handle, which is the width it needs on a tray, and only 12cm tall. It is foodsafe and it is dishwasher safe.

The teapot is ceramic. The painting is done with a brush, one pot at a time, so the brushwork and the depth of the glaze differ from one teapot to the next. It weighs 0.95kg empty. It belongs to the Patthar dinnerware range, alongside the plates, the bowls, the mugs and the cup and saucer.
