Description

This metal trinket box takes the form of a pair of puppies, lying close together with their paws tucked in front of them and the smaller one nestled against the side of the larger. It is hand-painted all over in a warm golden tan brown, with cream paws and muzzles, glossy black noses and dark eyes. The brushwork picks out every tuft of fur along their backs and ears. Small sparkling stones are set into the puppies' ears, and a fine gold-coloured rim traces the line where the lid meets the base. Made of metal alloy, it measures 5.5cm high, 7cm wide and 6.5cm deep, so it sits comfortably in the palm of your hand.

The head and back of the larger puppy lift on a small hinge to open the box, revealing a smooth white interior.
