Description

This wall shelf is an open iron grid with three shelves and two S-shaped hooks that hang from its bars. The frame is square, 60cm long and 60cm tall, and the whole piece is 12.5cm wide, so at its deepest it comes just 12.5cm out from the wall. The shelves come in three lengths: one runs the full width of the grid, one spans two of its three columns and one fills a single column. Each has a back plate rising behind it, so a book or a card can lean against it. It is 100% iron and weighs 2.64KG.

Because the shelves and hooks sit over the bars of the grid, you can arrange them around what you keep, with a row of paperbacks along the long shelf and small boxes or a candle on the short one. We like it in a hallway, where the hooks take keys, a scarf or a dog lead while the shelves hold post and sunglasses. In a study or home office it lifts notebooks, a pot of pens and a few cards off the desk, and it works just as well beside a bed.
