The Opulence cushion is a plain velvet square in a deep teal blue, finished with a piped edge that runs cleanly around all four sides. Velvet is what gives this cushion its character: a short, dense pile that catches the light differently as you move past it, so the same teal reads brighter across the top of the cover and deeper where the fabric falls into shadow. The face is unpatterned, which lets the colour and the texture do the work, and the piped trim gives the edge a defined line rather than a soft roll. It measures 55 by 55cm, a large square that holds its shape well when propped upright.

A cushion this size earns its place at the back of a sofa or an armchair, where a larger square gives proper support behind the lower back and anchors a group of smaller cushions in front of it. The plain teal sits happily against grey, navy and warm neutral upholstery, and works as a single colour accent or repeated as a pair at either end of a longer sofa.
