Description

Office is a table lamp in black. A long flat blade of a head, held almost level on a short upright column that rises from a low oval base, with the whole thing in a cool dark grey. The head is a slim bar with a lit panel down its underside, so what shows from the desk is a line of light rather than a lamp. The column carries a bright pivot where the head swings, and the base is a flat pad with a USB socket set into its front edge. The finish is a fine-grained matt grey throughout. The head reaches well out across the desk. It is supplied with an adapter, a manual and a spanner.

It is a lamp for a side table, a desk or a bedside, close enough to reach the switch from where you sit, and it lights the surface it stands on rather than the whole room. A pair either side of a bed or a sofa reads as deliberate where one alone reads as an afterthought, and two smaller lamps light a room more evenly than one large one. A timer turns it off again after 60 minutes.

It plugs into an ordinary socket, so it needs no electrician. It is class II, double insulated, so it needs no earth, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. It carries a G energy label.
