Description

A low garden table, 100cm long, 50cm deep and 40cm high, made of iron throughout. The top is a shallow iron frame filled with flat slats that run front to back with a narrow gap between each one. The base is a single X of flat bar, bolted through at the crossing and braced low down by a straight stretcher on each side, with the leg ends cut off at an angle. The top is hinged to the tops of the legs so the whole thing folds down. The surface is mottled, dark and warm, closer to bronze than to black.

At 40cm high and 100cm long this is a coffee table rather than a dining one, and the top sits level with the arm of a low outdoor chair. The slatted top lets rain through rather than holding it. The X frame folds flat for storage, and the table weighs 18.6kg.

The iron is powder coated, which gives a harder surface than paint and is what makes the table suitable for the garden. There is no wood and no fabric in it: the slats, the top frame, the legs and the stretchers are all iron. Odee also runs to a bench.
