Description

The Octavia is a 65cm diameter crystal chandelier with nine G4 bulbs distributed across curved French gold arms, each encased in a cluster of cut crystal droplets. The chandelier arrives with all nine G4 halogen bulbs (20W each, 180W total) included in the box, and the light refracted through the crystal creates a multi-directional sparkle effect across the fitting's 650mm spread.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Octavia's adjustable drop ranges from 500mm minimum to 820mm maximum, allowing the fitting to be set lower over a dining table or higher in a hallway depending on the space. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer compatible with low-voltage halogen lighting. The French gold finish is a warm antique-toned plating that softens reflections compared to polished brass or polished chrome.

Each of the nine arms curves outward from the central body, with crystal droplets clustered around the G4 socket at the tip of each arm. The crystals are facet-cut to catch and refract light at multiple angles, producing the characteristic chandelier sparkle when the bulbs are lit. At 6.2kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling rose rated for the weight, and the French gold plating pairs comfortably with warm-toned interiors, traditional décor and classical furniture. The chandelier is not compatible with LED or CFL bulbs — only halogen G4 capsules are supported.

Yes. The Octavia includes all nine G4 halogen bulbs (20W each) in the box. Replacement G4 halogen capsules are available separately when needed.

Can LED bulbs be used instead of halogen?

No. This chandelier is designed for G4 halogen capsules only and is not compatible with LED or CFL bulbs. Using LED or CFL bulbs may cause flicker, reduced lifespan or failure of the fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 500mm to 820mm. For a dining table the chandelier typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For hallways or open-plan spaces the full 820mm drop can be used where ceiling height allows.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer compatible with low-voltage halogen lighting. Standard leading-edge dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flicker or buzzing and are not recommended.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or using chemical sprays.
