Description
A single wick scented candle poured into a hand blown glass vessel 9cm across and 9cm tall. The glass is not a regular cylinder: the walls lean a little, the rim dips and rises around the top, and the surface is mottled and matt rather than clear. An amber yellow covers the upper two thirds and gives way to a rough, sandy cream at the base, flecked through with rust. The wax is white and sits below the rim, with one cotton wick at the centre.
The scent opens on neroli, rose and jasmine and settles onto oakmoss and cedarwood beneath them. It burns for about 45 to 50 hours in all. The vessel is 9cm across and the same again tall, which keeps the flame down inside the glass rather than out at the top of it. Once the wax has gone the vessel can be emptied and used again as a tealight holder.
The wax is a blend of soy and beeswax, sustainably sourced in Europe, with a cotton wick, and it is hand poured and packed in the UK by a family-run business. The scent was developed by a family-owned fragrance house with roots in Grasse. The vessel is recycled glass, blown by hand, so the line of the rim and the run of the colour differ from one to the next. Oakmoss and Rose is also made as a three wick candle and as a 200ml reed diffuser.

Frequently Asked
How long does it burn?
About 45 to 50 hours in total. Two to four hours at a time gives the best result.
How many wicks does it have?
One. There is a three wick candle in the same scent.
What does it smell of?
Neroli, rose and jasmine over oakmoss and cedarwood.
What is the wax?
A blend of soy and beeswax, sustainably sourced in Europe, with a cotton wick. It is hand poured and packed in the UK.
How do I burn it safely?
Let the wax melt out to the sides of the vessel the first time it is lit. Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn. Keep it in a well-ventilated room away from draughts, on a stable, heat-protected surface, safely away from children, pets and anything flammable. Do not move it while it is lit, remove any dust or debris before relighting, stop burning when about 10mm of candle is left, and never leave it unattended.
Can I keep the glass?
Yes. Put the vessel in a freezer for six to twelve hours, until the wax has shrunk away from the glass and can be knocked out gently. Wipe it with a clean, damp cloth to take off the residue. Do not leave it to soak or scrub it, and keep abrasive cloths and harsh detergents away from it.
