Description
Our Norvida wall shelf is a tall open shelving unit in grey, made from MDF with a spray-painted finish. It is 64cm long, 29cm wide and 120cm tall, with five open levels counting the top and the base. What gives it its character is the way it is put together: a broad central panel runs up the back of each tier, while a narrow upright stands off to one side, so the shelves run past it and the piece reads as a pattern of crossing lines rather than a box. At 13.45KG it is a substantial piece of furniture, not a light display rack.
Open shelving like this gives you storage without a solid block of furniture, so it suits places where a closed cabinet would feel heavy: a hallway beside the door, the end of a sofa in the living room, a bedroom wall for books and folded jumpers, or a home office for files and a plant or two. The 29cm width gives each shelf room for hardback books, plant pots, baskets and framed prints, and at 120cm tall the top shelf makes a handy surface for a lamp or a small sculpture.
The finish is spray paint over MDF, a material that gives a smooth, even surface and takes paint well, so the grey runs uniformly across every shelf, upright and panel. On the back of the central panel are two keyhole fittings for fixing the unit to the wall; screws and wall plugs are not listed as included, so have fixings suited to your wall ready before you start. For styling, let the asymmetry show: keep one tier fairly clear, lay a short stack of books flat on another, and give a single plant pot room on top. The styling props shown are not included.

Frequently Asked
What is the Norvida wall shelf made from?
It is made from 100% MDF with a spray-painted finish in grey, which gives a smooth, even surface on every shelf and panel.
How big is the Norvida wall shelf?
It is 64cm long, 29cm wide and 120cm tall, and it weighs 13.45KG, so it is a proper piece of furniture rather than a small display ledge.
How many shelves does it have?
There are five open levels counting the top and the base, with three shelves between them, all held by the central panels and the offset upright.
Does it fix to the wall?
Yes. There are two keyhole fittings on the back of the central panel for fixing it to the wall. Screws and wall plugs are not listed as included.
What colour is the shelf?
It is grey all over, with the same spray-painted finish on the shelves, the uprights and the central panels, so no raw edges of a different colour show.
Which rooms does it suit?
It works in a hallway, a living room, a bedroom or a home office, anywhere you want open storage for books, plants and baskets without the bulk of a closed cabinet.
