Nini Stoneware Cups 110ml Set of 4 - Multi

This set brings together four small stoneware cups, each painted by hand with a design of its own. Two carry scattered flowers, one has upright stripes and one is dotted with little suns, and every cup has a round loop handle in a contrasting shade, so the four look related without matching. Each holds 110ml and measures 6.5cm across and 5.5cm tall, which makes it an espresso or cortado cup rather than a mug: a short, strong coffee fills it nicely, and so does a small pour of tea. The bodies are softly rounded and gently irregular, with a glossy finish that catches the light.

These are cups for the small pauses in a day: the morning espresso at the kitchen counter, a cortado after lunch, or a pot of jasmine tea poured out in short measures for guests. Because no two designs match, they work well when friends visit, as everyone can tell their own cup apart at a glance. They suit a breakfast table laid for a slow weekend, a coffee spot on the kitchen worktop, or a tray carried out to the garden on a warm afternoon. Kept on open shelving, the four designs bring a cheerful mix of pattern to a kitchen even between uses.

The cups are made of 100% stoneware, and the decoration is painted by hand. Stoneware is a dense ceramic that holds heat well. Care is simple: they go in the dishwasher, and they can also go in the microwave and the oven, so warming a splash of milk or reheating a forgotten coffee needs no second vessel. For a neat display, keep all four on a small tray beside the coffee machine, where the flowers, stripes and suns sit together and the next cup is always within reach.
