Our Neri side plate is made of 100% stoneware in black, and its surface carries fine raised ribs that radiate from a smooth centre out to the rim, like a sunburst. At 23cm across and 2cm tall it is a generous side plate. It is big enough for toast and jam, a wedge of cake or a small salad with room to spare, and low enough to stack neatly in a cupboard. It weighs 0.56KG, a solid, settled weight that feels substantial in the hand.

It is made for everyday meals as much as for guests. Use it at breakfast for croissants or toast, beside a dinner plate for bread and butter, or as the main plate for a light lunch, a starter or a dessert. Black is a flattering background for food, so bright salad leaves, berries and golden pastries look their best on it.
