Description

The Neptune is a 52cm 5-light chandelier with polished chrome curved arms, each ending in an optical prism glass shade and a lead crystal sphere finial. Five G9 bulbs (included) sit inside the glass cups, which refract light through the cut prismatic surface and reflect off the polished chrome framework. The chandelier ships with bulbs fitted and ready to wire into a standard UK ceiling rose.

The telescopic drop rod adjusts between 410mm and 620mm from ceiling to the base of the fitting, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards. At 52cm diameter the Neptune fits dining tables of 1.4-1.8m length, bedroom ceilings above a double bed, or entrance halls where a centrepiece fitting is needed without overwhelming the space. The five arms radiate symmetrically from a central chrome hub, with each crystal sphere acting as a counterweight at the end of the arm.

The optical prism glass shades diffuse and multiply the light from each G9 source, creating refracted patterns on surrounding surfaces when lit. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient daylight during the day and amplifies the chandelier's own output at night. The G9 bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible G9 dimmer switch, allowing output to be reduced for evening ambient lighting or increased for task light over a dining table. The total fitting weight of 2.5kg requires a ceiling mounting point capable of supporting at least 5kg for safe installation.

Are the G9 bulbs included?

Yes. The Neptune ships with five G9 bulbs already fitted. These are standard halogen G9 capsules rated at up to 40W each. You can replace them with G9 LED bulbs for lower running costs and cooler operation.

Is the Neptune dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible G9 dimmer switch. The included halogen bulbs are dimmable. If you replace them with LED bulbs, check the bulb packaging confirms LED dimmer compatibility.

What dining table size does it suit?

The 52cm diameter works over dining tables between 1.4m and 1.8m in length. As a general guide, a chandelier should be approximately one-third to one-half the width of the table it hangs above. For tables longer than 1.8m, consider two smaller pendants or a larger chandelier.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The telescopic drop rod is adjusted during installation by selecting the desired length between 410mm and 620mm. Once fixed and wired, the height remains set unless the fitting is taken down and the rod length changed.
