Description

The Naluna is a fabric pendant light with a softly rounded, gently tapered shade that measures 42cm across and 50cm tall. Its knitted fabric is drawn over fine vertical ribs that run from the crown down to a lightly scalloped lower edge, so the shade reads as a ring of soft panels rather than one smooth surface. It is made from polyester and iron in equal parts, in a quiet beige that sits easily against white walls, grey plaster or pale wood. The knit is fine but open enough that the outline of the bulb shows faintly through.

This is a generous size, so it is happiest in a room with some height: over a round dining table, in a hallway with a tall ceiling, or in a bedroom where you want a soft overhead light rather than a bright one. A fabric shade softens the light from a bare bulb, which is why it suits living rooms and dining rooms where people sit and talk for a while. The ribbed shape and plain beige knit sit comfortably in Scandinavian, Japandi and simple rustic rooms, and it looks just as good hung on its own as in a row over a longer table. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

It takes an E27 bulb of up to 60W, or an LED of up to 9W or a compact fluorescent of up to 14W, and the bulb is not included.
