Description

This ceramic Christmas plate brings a little storybook cheer to the table. At its centre stands a decorated Christmas tree, hung with baubles and topped with a star, with a rocking horse and a pile of wrapped presents underneath. A fine ring frames the scene, and around the white rim sit sprigs of holly, little stars and snowflakes, finished with a scalloped edge that rises and falls. The plate is 17cm across and 2cm tall, which is side plate size: right for a slice of cake, a mince pie or a few biscuits rather than a full dinner. It is made of dolomite ceramic and weighs 0.25KG, so it is light enough to pass around the table.

We see it earning its place through December. Put a few out beside the teapot when friends drop in, hand them round with the Christmas pudding, or leave one by the fireplace on Christmas Eve with a mince pie for the visitor down the chimney.
