Naav Small Mug - Mustard - Set of 2

A pair of small ceramic mugs in mustard, each 6.5cm high and 8cm across, holding 200ml. The glaze is reactive and carries two tones, so the colour moves across each mug rather than sitting flat, and the surface is left with some texture in it. No two are exactly alike.

At 200ml this is the small Naav, the measure for a morning coffee rather than a large mug of tea. Two come in a set. They are dishwasher safe, microwave safe and food safe, so they go into everyday use rather than onto a shelf. Naav is also made in a large and an extra large, and in blue as well as mustard.

The mugs are ceramic, shaped and painted by hand in Vietnam using techniques that go back thousands of years. Because a reactive glaze develops as it is fired, the point where the two tones meet falls differently on every mug, so even the two in a set will not match each other exactly.

How many mugs come in a set?

Two.

How much does each mug hold?

200ml.

Are they dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes, both, and they are food safe.

Are they made in other sizes?

Yes. Naav is made in a small, a large and an extra large, in mustard and in blue.

Will the two mugs match?

Not exactly. The reactive glaze develops as it is fired, so the two tones meet at a different point on every mug.

How should they be looked after?

Wash them after every use to prevent staining, using a mild detergent, and do not leave them to soak. Handle them carefully to prevent chipping.
