Description

This is a mouth-blown glass tumbler with a small glass butterfly set within the bowl, raised on a slim glass stalk from the base so that it seems to hover in your drink. The tumbler is stemless and gently rounded, fullest through the middle and drawing in slightly towards the rim, and it rests on a thick, solid base. It is made of 100% glass, stands 12cm tall and measures 9cm across. At 560ml it is a generous everyday glass rather than a small juice tumbler: a long drink of water, lemonade or iced tea sits comfortably in it, with room for ice.

Clear glass leaves the butterfly to do the talking, so the Misa tumbler looks as right on a summer table in the garden as it does at a weekday kitchen supper or on a bedside table with water for the night. It brings a light, playful touch to a birthday lunch or a garden party, where the butterfly gives everyone a small reason to smile. At 0.22KG it is light in the hand, which suits everyday use.
