Misa Bird Tumblers Set of 4 - Clear

Each of these four mouthblown glass tumblers holds a small glass bird, perched on a slender stem that rises from the thick base. The tumblers are clear and stemless, with a rounded bowl that swells gently before curving in towards the rim. Each of the four birds is a different colour, which makes it easy for every guest to keep track of their own. Each glass holds 560ml, a generous size that takes a long glass of water or juice as readily as a relaxed pour of wine, and measures 9cm across and 12cm tall.

They suit the everyday kitchen table as well as a dinner with friends or a weekend lunch in the garden, where the birds bring a little colour and a smile to the table. The clear glass lets the bird show through water or juice, so the decoration stays in view while the glass is in use. Because the care asks for no ice cubes, keep them for drinks poured cool from the fridge or at room temperature. They also make a cheerful gift for a housewarming, a birthday or anyone who enjoys a touch of whimsy at mealtimes.

Each tumbler is mouthblown. Because mouthblown glass is formed by a glassblower rather than a machine, small differences in size and shape from one glass to the next are part of its character. The bird sits inside the glass on its stem, and that shapes the care: wash them gently by hand rather than in the dishwasher, and do not stir a drink in them or add ice cubes, as either can damage the decoration. They are not for the microwave or the oven either. For the table, give each guest a different bird and let the glasses mark the places, or line all four up on an open shelf where the birds catch the light between meals.

How much does each glass hold?

Each tumbler holds 560ml, a generous size for water, juice or wine, and measures 9cm across and 12cm tall.

Can these tumblers go in the dishwasher?

No. They are not dishwasher safe, so wash them gently by hand to protect the small glass bird in each one.

Can I use ice cubes in them?

We would leave the ice out. The care instructions say not to use ice cubes or stir drinks in them, as either can damage the bird decoration.

What material are the tumblers?

They are 100% glass, the little bird included, and each one is mouthblown, so expect small differences from glass to glass.

How many tumblers come in the set?

The set has four tumblers. Each holds its own small glass bird, and every one of the four birds is a different colour.

Can I put them in the microwave or oven?

No. They are not suitable for the microwave or the oven, so keep them for drinks served cool or at room temperature.
