Description

The Mios is a 600mm-wide crystal table lamp built on a polished chrome frame with three G4 lamp holders surrounded by faceted Asfour crystal droplets. Six curved chrome arms radiate outward from a central column, each arm carrying marquise-cut and round-cut crystal pieces on stainless steel chains. The chrome base provides a 5.6kg counterweight to the 370mm-tall structure, keeping the lamp stable on tabletops and sideboards despite its width.

Designed for side tables in living rooms, console tables in hallways, and bedside positions where the lamp needs to provide both task light and ambient reflection, the Mios creates prismatic light scatter when lit. The three 20W G4 bulbs (included) sit recessed within the chrome framework, so the primary light source is diffused through the surrounding crystal rather than exposed. The inline dimmer on the cable allows the lamp to be dialled down for low-level ambient use or turned up for reading light.

The Asfour crystal pieces are cut with multiple facets to maximise refraction, so the lamp throws scattered light patterns onto nearby walls even at low brightness. The polished chrome finish reflects both the bulb light and daylight, amplifying the overall brightness. The 600mm diameter makes the Mios wider than most bedside lamps, so it suits positions where the table surface can accommodate the spread — a console behind a sofa, a side table in a bay window, or a wide bedside unit in a master bedroom.

The lamp ships with three Luxram G4 halogen bulbs fitted. Replacement G4 LED or halogen bulbs are available separately if you prefer a different colour temperature or lower wattage. The inline dimmer is compatible with both halogen and most dimmable LED G4 bulbs, though dimmer performance varies between LED models.

How is the crystal maintained?

Wipe individual crystal pieces with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For heavier cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or using chemical cleaners on the crystal. The chrome frame can be polished with a standard chrome cleaner.
