Description
The Miadol is an artificial leaf stem in silver: a single branching stem carrying rounded leaves cut into a fine, lace-like pattern of tiny fronds. Each leaf looks rather like a frosted fern pressed flat, so the stem reads as light and airy rather than solid. It is made from plastic and stands 87.5cm tall, reaching 20cm across at its widest, which gives it enough height to rise well clear of a tall vase. At just 0.05KG it adds almost nothing to the weight of an arrangement, so it sits comfortably among heavier stems.
We see it as the finishing stem for indoor Christmas displays. Set one alone in a slim vase on a sideboard or mantelpiece for a clean, graphic look, or mix it with green fir and berry stems so the silver leaves brighten the darker foliage. Several together in a tall floor vase make a fuller, frosted display for a hallway or a corner of the living room. Because the leaves are open and lacy, the stem never looks heavy, even in a generous bunch, and the silver sits happily beside white, grey, black and natural wood.
The silver runs the full length of the stem as well as through every leaf, so there is no plain green or brown stalk to hide when it stands in clear glass. Being plastic, it needs no water, will not wilt and can be packed away after Christmas and brought out again the following year. Store it flat in a box with a little room around the leaves, so the fine edges keep their crisp shape.

Frequently Asked
How tall is the Miadol leaf stem?
It stands 87.5cm tall and reaches 20cm across at its widest, so it suits a tall vase or a floor vase rather than a short posy.
What material is the stem?
It is made from plastic, so it needs no water, will not wilt and can be stored and brought out again every Christmas.
Can the stem go outdoors?
We recommend it for indoor displays only, as a piece of decor for a vase on a sideboard, a mantelpiece or a hallway floor.
What colour is the leaf stem?
It is silver along the full stem and through every leaf, with a fine, lacy cut pattern that gives the leaves a frosted look.
How heavy is the stem?
It weighs just 0.05KG, so it adds almost nothing to the weight of a vase and mixes easily among heavier fir and berry stems.
How should I store the stem after Christmas?
Lay it flat in a box with a little space around the leaves, so the fine cut edges keep their shape until next year.
