Description
The Mercury UK to EU travel adaptor converts a standard UK 3-pin plug for use in European Schuko sockets and adds twin USB-A ports on the front face. The adaptor accepts one UK plug rated up to 10A (2,300W at 230V) while providing two USB ports with a combined 2400mA output for charging phones, tablets or other USB-powered devices.
Designed for travel to mainland Europe, the adaptor suits business trips, holidays and short breaks where charging multiple devices from a single wall socket reduces the need for multiple plug adaptors. The twin USB ports share a 2400mA output, so connecting two devices divides the charging current between them. The white ABS housing measures 84 x 53 x 70mm and weighs 92g, fitting easily into hand luggage or a laptop bag.
The adaptor is built to BS1363 and BS5733 standards, covering UK plug safety and travel adaptor requirements. The Schuko pins on the rear fit standard European Type F sockets found across Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and most of continental Europe. The UK socket on the front accepts standard fused UK plugs from laptops, phone chargers, shavers and other appliances up to the 10A rating.

Frequently Asked
What countries does this adaptor work in?
The Schuko plug format fits Type F sockets across mainland Europe, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Portugal. It does not fit UK, Irish or Swiss sockets.
Can I charge two devices at full speed?
The twin USB ports share a combined 2400mA output. Charging one device alone provides up to 2400mA; charging two devices simultaneously divides the available current between them, typically around 1200mA per port depending on device draw.
What appliances can I plug into it?
Any UK 3-pin plug rated up to 10A works, including laptop chargers, phone chargers, shavers, hair straighteners and small travel kettles. The adaptor does not convert voltage — check your appliance supports 230V European mains before use.
Does it have fuse protection?
The adaptor accepts standard fused UK plugs, which provide their own fuse protection. The adaptor itself does not contain an additional fuse, so ensure the appliance plug includes a correctly rated fuse before use.
