The Mercury MDW-01 is a handheld metal detector built for the security industry. It is made for body searches in settings like border control, building security and crowd management, and it works just as well when you need to scan parcels or letters for hidden metal objects. Wherever the presence of metal poses a risk, this wand gives you a quick and simple way to check.

You can set the unit to high or low sensitivity depending on the job, and choose between a sound alert or a silent vibration alert when metal is detected. There are no fiddly adjustments to make, so it is ready to use straight out of the box. A low battery warning tells you when it is time for a fresh 9V PP3 cell, which is supplied along with a belt holster so you can keep the wand close to hand between searches.
